Sosúa is a multicultural tourist destination where a wide range of citizens from different nations coexist; This racial diversity is essentially reflected in its gastronomic variety, which makes it simply impressive and unique in the country.

The founding of Sosúa is officially recognized with the arrival of 500 Jewish settlers who were welcomed by the government of dictator Rafael Leónidas Trujillo in 1938, when the president of the United States, Franklin Delano Roosevelt called thirty-two nations to deal with the government. Sosúa since the eighties has been one of the most important tourist destinations in the country. Sosúa was a quiet fishing village where there was hardly a hotel.

Sosua has one of the richest and most diverse marine ecosystems in the Caribbean, ideal for diving and snorkeling.
